“Into the Woods” featured at Feb. 22 Hearts in the Arts Gala

Reservations are open for the 22nd Annual Hearts in the Arts Gala, sponsored by the McLennan Community College Foundation. This year’s Gala on Feb. 22 features the McLennan Theatre performance of Into the Woods. Tickets are $100 each and include drinks and dining at 5:30 p.m. inside the Conference Center at MCC followed by the theatre performance at 7:30 p.m. at the Ball Performing Arts Center. Tables for eight are $800 and include preferred dinner seating.

The Hearts in the Arts Gala is a celebration of creativity, talent and an educational journey. This year, MCC students will enchant you with their bewitching performance of Into the Woods, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The epic fairy tale promises to captivate and charm all attendees with its humorous twists. 

The production, directed by Kelly Parker and choreographed by Joe Taylor, will feature elaborate costuming and sets to immerse the audience in this whimsical fairytale. Honorary Hearts in the Arts Chairs Drs. Diane and Clay Sawyer will host the evening.

Hearts in the Arts is an affinity group of the MCC Foundation that supports the arts at MCC. All proceeds from the Gala event benefit MCC scholarships and special projects, which in turn benefits advancing visual and performing arts students and faculty.
